Day 6 stretches the map north.
We roll out of Palisade Basecamp at 9:00 AM and head toward open western highways, red rock country, and eventually the Tetons.
⛽ Stop 1 – Pilot Travel Center
Grand Junction, CO
Quick fuel and reset before we leave Colorado behind.
🍔 Stop 2 – Highway Bar & Grill
Dinosaur, CO
Small-town western vibes before crossing into Utah.
⛽ Stop 3 – Split Mountain Travel Plaza
Vernal, UT
Top off before town.
🍺 Stop 4 – Vernal Brewing Co
Vernal, UT
Lunch stop. Regroup.
This is where we meet up with the Salt Lake City crew.
Brotherhood grows stronger here.
🏞 Stop 5 – Flaming Gorge Dam Visitor Center
Dutch John, UT
Massive canyon views and winding roads.
This is one of those “pull over and just look” moments.
⛽ Stop 6 – Maverik
Rock Springs, WY
Final fuel before pushing into Jackson.
🏁 Final Stop – Antler Inn
Jackson, WY
440 miles.
Full day.
Mountains getting closer with every mile.
