Original owner J.D. Bell, born in Spearfish, said the Boar's Nest has become ever popular with "word of mouth from that's built from five Rallies ago," when he first opened his doors. The Boar's Nest has been busy this entire summer, Bell said.
The little 1888 log cabin that has been remodeled into an outdoor restaurant sits right off of U.S. Highway 14A, nestled on a corner about two miles south of Lead.

Looking around at the scenery, with tables next to the creek and on the open porch, Bell said he wanted to give bikers an oasis. And it must be just what they are looking for because Bell said his business more than doubles each year during Rally.
The menu is simple, with hamburgers, homemade fries, malts and much more, served with a smile and at a reasonable price. Customer Dave (Pup) Longwill said he and his friend, Gary Mason, both of Tennessee, "hit it three to five times a week while we're here."
They added we come every year for the fried egg cheeseburger. This year they tipped off country star Toby Keith, who complied by coming on Monday during Rally Week to try a cheeseburger.
"Great food, great atmosphere and good people," said Diane Droz, who helped Bell with the restaurant this Rally, claiming that's what keeps people coming back and bringing friends.
